The Contemporary Poetry Collections at Newcastle University represent a major resource for the study of contemporary poetry and poetry publishing in Britain. The Collections include the archives of publishers and small presses, in addition to the personal archives of contemporary British poets.
Publishing collections include the extensive Bloodaxe Archive, which incorporates the literary and administrative papers of one of Britain’s leading poetry publishers. Authors’ archives include the papers of Sean O’Brien, Barry MacSweeney, Selima Hill and Moniza Alvi. The Collections also incorporate several book collections and a growing range of digital resources.
